Anita Lau’s Inspiration for designing Nisan – Lion of Judah wooden papercut

I have always been interested about the Hebrew calender. In Papa God’s timing I came to design Nisan – The Lion of Judah wooden board.

In the beginning, I started off by drawing a lion head with some wind symbol to represent the ‘Breath’, but when I was about to make the piece, Papa God stopped me by giving me the Word “Exodus” and through the word Exodus, it led me to think about the ‘Miracle of the God’s people crossing the Red Sea” the most amazing event in history!!!

Therefore, the Lion of Judah walking through the departing water idea came into mind and that’s how this art piece is created.
